Larian Urges Deletion of Early Access Saves and Baldur’s Gate 3 to Prevent “Unexpected Conflicts”

With only two days remaining until the release of Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios advises⁣ all‍ early access players to completely ‌uninstall the game to ⁣avoid⁣ any potential issues on launch day.

For those who have early access saves in⁣ Baldur’s Gate 3, we ‍kindly request that you launch the game⁣ and delete all save ‍files by August 3rd to prevent any unforeseen conflicts⁣ upon the official release. Additionally, make sure to remove all mods and ensure they are not automatically reloaded.

We highly recommend that early access players uninstall the game after deleting ⁤their save files. This will minimize the risk of file ‌conflicts when loading the final version of the game, resulting in a smoother gameplay experience without the need‍ for troubleshooting!

Although it may seem counterintuitive, uninstalling the early access version of Baldur’s Gate ⁤3 right before the launch is the best course of action. Larian has clarified that there are no benefits to keeping it after the full release.⁤ Saves will not be transferable, and Larian ⁢CEO Swen Vincke recently stated that the version 1.0 release will require a ⁣”complete reinstall” regardless.
