In Diablo IV’s Kyovashad hub, players can encounter Sister Octavia: a devotee of the Cathedral of Light seeking help from a few brave adventurers as part of the Malady of the Soul questline. Sister Octavia offers three quests: Malady of the Soul, Depths of Despair and Faith in Blood, all of which involve exploring Kyovashad’s dark underbelly and participating in a terrifying series of exorcisms to rid the city of demons.
Players have plenty to experience in Blizzard’s latest dungeon-crawler, whether it’s searching for Diablo IV’s Altars of Lilith, exploring the game’s many dungeons, or challenging World Bosses together with other players. At the same time, side quests contain some of Diablo IV’s best storytelling, and players shouldn’t miss out on Sister Octavia’s quests for this reason alone. However, there are a few requirements players must meet before they can start helping her.
Most players will likely hit Level 20 without much trouble by progressing through the story campaign and tackling side content. However, there are a few ways to level up quickly. This includes moving up to World Tier II, which increases XP gain from defeating enemies by 20% while also drastically increasing game difficulty. Players can also conquer dungeons to find and use Diablo IV’s Codex of Power Aspects, participate in World Events, and tackle other side quests.
Once players hit Level 20, Sister Octavia can be found discussing an exorcism with a man in the southern part of Kyovashad, near the Purveyor of Curiosities vendor. On speaking to her, she’ll immediately enlist the player character’s help and request that they join her in a nearby cellar to witness a miracle.
By entering the Frigid Cellar, players will quickly get an idea of what Sister Octavia plans to do: perform an exorcism on the man’s son to cast out the demon possessing him. At this point, players should follow her instructions by placing the chalice down on the floor and observing the ritual. Unfortunately, the demon won’t go without a fight and spawns a horde of Carvers. Players will have to slay the demons, but luckily, they’re fairly easy to kill.
