Unlocking Mounts in Diablo 4

Unlocking Mounts in Diablo 4

Outside of fast travel in Diablo 4, the best way to reach the next side quest or travel to another area in Sanctuary is to unlock a Mount that can carry players across great distances. Before Act 1, players will reach the end of the Prologue as Lorath takes a horse from Kyovashad to learn more about the Pale Man who travels with Lilith. Unfortunately, players can’t get their own horse from this stable until they finish a certain quest.

As players take on more missions and explore the world, the map size gets larger as more areas are revealed. A good way to travel before obtaining a Mount would be to unlock Waypoints at different villages or from completed strongholds. Much like exiting a dungeon fast in Diablo 4, there are ways to reduce the time it takes to get from one place to another that players should take advantage of from the start.

Thankfully, all players need to do is mention they are a friend of Donan’s to Oskar to unlock all the features of the stable. Oskar will automatically give players the option to select their first mount from various horses. Each horse doesn’t have any changes to gameplay in Diablo 4 since they are simply different looks for players to choose from for this companion creature.

While the first Mount players select is given for free, any other creature must be purchased from the stable for around 20,000 Gold. Those who bought the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of Diablo 4 also have access to the Light-Bearer and Temptation Mounts immediately. The Mount Armors called Caparison of Faith and Hellborn Carapace are also available to players of these versions of the game.
