Starfield Rumored to Get Unofficial Russian Localization

The CEO of Tvsoft Inc., which is currently developing a network for digital game distribution, Yuri Podolsky, announced, citing his insiders, that Starfield will receive an unofficial Russian localization, but only in text format:

A small insider scoop on Starfield! As you know, the game developer company Starfield – Bethesda Softworks – canceled the Russian localization of the game, and the Russian localization and voiceover studio, GameVoice, refused to undertake the localization of such a massive project. Despite the refusal of the GameVoice studio, Starfield will still be translated into Russian in text format by one of the major localization studios, whose name we are not allowed to disclose. On June 29, we at Netmax reached an agreement on this matter with one of the game localization companies and several internet media outlets.

The author promised to reveal more details closer to the game’s release on September 6. It is possible that Logrus IT will handle the translation, but it is not known for sure yet.
