Russian shelling has resulted in the deaths of seven individuals, including a 23-day-old infant, and has left 20 others injured in Ukraine’s southern region of Kherson. This tragic event has led local officials to declare a day of mourning.
Last November, Kyiv successfully reclaimed a portion of Kherson from Russian occupation. However, Kremlin troops have continued to shell the regional capital and its surrounding areas from across the Dnipro River.
On Sunday, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko revealed that a couple, their 23-day-old child, and another man were killed in the village of Shyroka Balka. Additionally, the couple’s 12-year-old son sustained critical injuries and later passed away in the hospital.
In a Telegram post, Klymenko expressed, “The terrorists will never willingly stop killing civilians. The terrorists must be stopped, and force is the only language they understand.”
According to Governor Oleksandr Prokudin, two individuals, including a church pastor, were killed in the neighboring village of Stanislav.
