Russian shelling has resulted in the deaths of seven individuals, including‍ a 23-day-old infant, and has left 20 others injured in Ukraine’s southern ⁣region of Kherson. This tragic event‍ has led local officials to declare⁤ a day of mourning.

Last November, Kyiv successfully reclaimed a portion of Kherson from Russian occupation. However, Kremlin ⁣troops have continued to shell the regional capital and its ⁣surrounding ‌areas from across the Dnipro⁢ River.

On Sunday, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko revealed that a couple, their 23-day-old child, and ⁢another man were killed in the village⁣ of Shyroka Balka. Additionally, the couple’s ⁤12-year-old son sustained critical injuries and ⁢later⁢ passed away⁣ in the ⁢hospital.

In a Telegram post, ‌Klymenko⁣ expressed, “The terrorists will never willingly stop killing civilians. The ⁣terrorists must be stopped, and force is the only language ⁤they understand.”

According to Governor Oleksandr ⁤Prokudin, two individuals, including a church pastor, were killed in the neighboring village of Stanislav.
