Honda has provided additional information about its upcoming all-electric Prologue SUV. The Prologue is expected to have a range of 300 miles when it is released in early 2024. Honda anticipates that the starting price for the vehicle will be in the upper $40,000s, although this does not take into account any available incentives or tax credits.
Compared to competitors such as the Volkswagen ID.4, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Mustang Mach-E, the Prologue’s entry point is higher, as those models start at around $40,000. Additionally, the Prologue’s range falls short of the Ioniq 6’s 361 miles and slightly behind the Hummer EV’s 314 miles.
The Prologue is constructed on the GM Ultium EV architecture, which is the same platform used for GM electric vehicles like the Chevy Blazer EV. Both rear-drive and all-wheel-drive models of the Prologue feature an 85-kWh battery pack.
