A recent study has revealed that almost 50% of Netflix users would cancel their subscription if the price for the ad-free option increased. This comes after Netflix announced a price hike due to the conclusion of the Hollywood actors’ strike. The exact timing and extent of the price increase remain uncertain.
The study, conducted by CivicScience, found that 39% of Netflix users would terminate their subscription if the price went up. In contrast, 31% stated that they would switch to the ad-supported version of Netflix, while only 29% said they would continue with the ad-free subscription.
The CivicScience survey was carried out on October 10th and involved 4,000 individuals who have a Netflix subscription.
