It took approximately 8 years to create Starfield, but ThrillDaWill managed to create his own version of Starfield in just 48 hours. However, this is not a complete remake or a mod. Instead, it is a demo version of a game inspired by Bethesda’s Starfield.
In this “Starfield” demo, players can explore entire planets (not just separate maps), complete main and side quests with dialogue options, collect items, and engage in combat using their ship and firearms.
One of the most impressive features is the seamless transition from the surface of a planet to open space, and vice versa. There are no menus or loading screens, which was a criticism of Bethesda’s Starfield. The ships in this “remake” of Starfield have varying speeds depending on the desired destination.
It’s important to note that this Starfield Remake is not the full game. It is a small, incomplete game created to test the technical capabilities of the systems used.
As expected from a project developed in just two days, the level of development and optimization in this experiment is not on par with the quality of Starfield. If someone were to truly bring it up to Starfield’s standards, there would likely be various technical issues and it would require much more time to work on.
However, it is worth emphasizing that this achievement was accomplished by one person in just 48 hours. Therefore, it can be considered an outstanding accomplishment.
