It has been discovered by a player that even the toughest battles in Baldur’s Gate 3 can be easily won with enough explosives.
On the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit, user MissQueeney shared their experience of achieving a quick and deadly victory over the final boss of the game by collecting all the explosive items they encountered. This included hundreds of barrels, bombs, and other explosive objects, which they simultaneously threw at the villain.
Explaining their method, the player said, “Throughout the game, I kept [the explosives] in a separate chest… then I transferred them all into a bag that was already in my inventory. I carried it all by myself to the final boss, which was the most difficult part due to the overload.” Due to the heavy load, they were unable to perform simple physical actions such as jumping or using stairs.
Upon reaching the final boss, they strategically placed all the explosives around the enemy. “Then I flew to a far corner and threw a fireball. The damage was so great that all you could see were damage numbers.”
If you desire a direct victory in the final battle, then this method is undoubtedly effective. However, if you want to keep your PC intact and safe, you should try a different approach.
