The job search tool similar to LinkedIn that X has been testing is now available. A beta version of the feature was launched in August for verified users, but now the web version of the tool is open to everyone on X. The company expects to release versions for iOS and Android “soon.”
The job search feature already includes open positions at various tech companies, including those owned by Elon Musk. Currently, there are listings for roles at SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, X, and Musk’s latest venture, x.ai.
Although Musk previously promised that the X competitor to LinkedIn would be “cool,” it currently appears to be very basic. Users can browse job listings and descriptions, but they are redirected to third-party sites to complete an application, even for roles at X. Additionally, the company has been testing “job cards” to make individual postings more easily shareable on the platform.
