The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) ⁣in Ireland ruled in favor of Gary Rooney,⁤ a former senior⁢ executive at Twitter, who was ‌unjustly fired for refusing to comply with Musk’s email directive back ⁤in 2022 after nearly a decade with the company. X has been ordered to compensate Rooney with €550,000 (approximately $605,000).

Adjudication officer Michael ⁢MacNamee ‍highlighted the unfairness of Musk’s demand to click “yes,” ​stating that not agreeing to it did not constitute a⁤ resignation. Therefore, the company had no valid reason to terminate Rooney, according to the WRC.
