Exciting news for fans of the iconic mobile game “Flappy Bird” as it prepares to make a grand return. Noisy Pixel reports that early versions are expected to be released in Q3 of 2024, with full launches on popular platforms like iOS and Android set for 2025.
The revival of Flappy Bird is being led by The Flappy Bird Foundation, a new group of passionate individuals dedicated to reintroducing the game to a global audience.
Through partnerships, the foundation has obtained the official Flappy Bird trademark from Gametech Holdings LLC. They have also acquired rights to the original game and its beloved character, as well as “Piou Piou vs. Cactus,” a mobile title that served as inspiration for the famous flying bird.
X Flappy Bird shared in a post: “I’m rejuvenated, revitalized, and eager to take flight once more.”
Prepare yourself for some flapping action across all your devices! By 2025, you’ll be navigating through obstacles on your computer and tapping away on your mobile browsers. And for those who prefer apps, new versions for iOS and Android are currently in development.
