Will Sea Of Stars Be Available on Xbox Game Pass & PlayStation Plus on Day One?

The upcoming RPG,⁤ Sea of Stars, is about to be released‌ after receiving a significant amount of⁤ attention for an indie⁣ title over the past year. Said to be⁤ inspired by classic ’90s RPGs such as ⁢Chrono Trigger, the 16-bit game will have six unique characters with their own backstories and skills, including the two main protagonists, Valere and Zale. Harnessing their powers ⁣as Solstice Warriors, along with other ⁢party⁣ members’ ⁢abilities, the group will be faced with putting an end to an evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.

Indie developer Sabotage Studios is⁣ scheduled ⁣to release ⁤the turn-based RPG Sea of Stars for the Nintendo Switch, Steam, Xbox One,‌ Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and‍ PS5 on August 29, 2023. Demo versions of the game⁣ are currently available on all of these platforms, which will offer people a glimpse into what ⁤they ⁤can expect from the gameplay mechanics and style of Sea⁣ of Stars.⁢ While, unfortunately, Sea of Stars is only available as a digital release at this time,‍ many people may be wondering if ⁣it be available on services like Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus.

Sea⁢ of Stars will be a launch-day‍ title‍ for‍ both the⁣ Xbox Game ‍Pass ‍and ⁤PlayStation Plus services on August‌ 29. These monthly ⁢subscription services are designed to allow users to pay a monthly or yearly fee⁤ in ⁢exchange for access to hundreds‍ of games ⁢available in their ‌catalogs. People who are subscribed can simply download Sea of Stars to their game‍ platform⁢ on day one,‌ and they will be able to play immediately at no additional fee.

Although Xbox ‌Game ‌Pass has had a fairly well-known history of‍ featuring many highly anticipated games⁢ on their release dates,‍ Sony’s subscription service,‌ PS‌ Plus, often does not follow this trend.‌ Sea of Stars is one of the rare exceptions, coming to the ⁢PlayStation ‌Plus Game Catalog for ‌members of the⁤ Extra and Premium level subscriptions⁣ on launch day. Even ‌more notable, however, is that this‍ will be the first game to be ⁣added to both of these services simultaneously on ‌its launch day, hopefully‍ opening the door for more games ‍to follow this⁣ pattern in the future.
