Which New Playable Characters Can We Expect from Honkai: Star Rail 1.2 Leaks?

Honkai: Star Rail 1.2 leaks have already revealed the new playable characters that will be added in the upcoming version, even before the official release of Version 1.1. With each update, HoYoverse adds more content to the turn-based RPG, including new areas, quests, events, and characters to obtain and control in battle. Although players are still a few weeks away from Version 1.2 and even the release of Honkai: Star Rail 1.1, some information about the future patch has already been circulating.

In addition to the Honkai: Star Rail 1.2 leaks themselves, the developer has been sharing some teasers that seem to confirm some of the speculations around the character banners in the next version. Of course, players will have to wait for an official confirmation, and the leaks are also subject to change according to HoYoverse’s plans for the future. Nevertheless, the upcoming characters seem like promising additions.

Although Blade and Kafka will likely be the main attractions in the version due to their rarity, Honkai: Star Rail 1.2 leaks point to a third character. Luka, who has appeared in the Resolution Shines As Pearls Of Sweat Light Cone, will be the 4-star character in the update and is expected to be introduced as a playable hero in Phase 2. This would mean he would be featured in Kafka’s character banner. He should be, in fact, introduced with Version 1.2, as he was also announced on Honkai: Star Rail’s Twitter account shortly after Blade and Kafka.

The Honkai: Star Rail 1.2 leaks seem promising as the playable roster continues to expand with new Path and Element combinations. With Blade’s addition, players will get a powerful new Destruction DPS character that uses Wind as his Element. He will probably serve as a viable substitute for Dan Heng. Although their Paths are different, they both excel at dealing Wind Damage.

Kafka, on the other hand, seems to be the most exciting part of the Honkai: Star Rail 1.2 leaks. The Lightning character follows the Path of the Nihility and, while her expertise is debuffing opponents, Kafka may double as a strong sub-DPS capable of hitting multiple targets. Luka will be the sixth Nihility character that players see in the game, though his Physical type will make for a new combination. How he plays out will remain to be seen once Honkai: Star Rail 1.2 gets closer.
