Viewers ridicule the latest trailer for “The Witcher” season three, expressing longing for Henry Cavill’s return.

Netflix has released a new trailer for the third season of “The Witcher” during Summer Game Fest. The series premieres at the end of June, but some viewers are not intending to return to the show, judging by their reactions. Others say they will only watch the new episodes for Henry Cavill, for whom this season will be his last as Geralt. The mood is not optimistic, although the material was better received than the first, which came out at the end of April. At that time, the teaser for the third season received sharp criticism from fans.

The English-language trailer has been viewed over 1.4 million times and has 44,000 likes and 40,000 dislikes. But in trailers with other languages, the dislikes outweigh the likes.

Mixed feelings about the trailer can also be seen in the results of a poll organized on Twitter by Redanian Intelligence. Of the more than 2,500 poll participants, 38% voted that they were not excited about the third season of “The Witcher” after seeing the new trailer. In contrast, 20% of voters noted that they are looking forward to the upcoming episodes with great enthusiasm.

Viewers are once again complaining about Netflix’s “The Witcher,” but this time the majority of comments are about Henry Cavill. Some are glad that the actor has been released from the show, while others are disappointed that he will not return for the fourth season. However, everyone agrees that Cavill is the best element of “The Witcher” and that it is thanks to him that the series is breaking viewing records on the platform. A selection of comments can be found below.

The show will never be the same without Henry Cavill.
For me, Henry Cavill played a key role in the show’s success as Geralt. It’s a shame Netflix departed from the original story. However, as a fan of the books and games, I really appreciate Cavill’s authentic role that perfectly reflects my love for this character.
Henry Cavill really respects this series, and his role as Geralt was impressive. Henry, kudos to you for putting so much passion into this character. You will be missed.
Henry Cavill deserves a longer series that isn’t afraid to take its time and pay homage to the books, as he played Geralt brilliantly and with so much passion.
I will miss Henry as Geralt, he gave it his all.
The heart of the series is Henry Cavill. Without him, the show will never be the same.
Henry Cavill’s contribution to the show and his desire for Netflix to tell the story from the books is commendable, but it’s madness that he’s no longer in The Witcher.
Great respect to Henry Cavill.
As a fan of The Witcher, I feel insulted. The two good things you can say about this show are that it looks a bit better [trailer] than season 2, and of course, Henry Cavill, who always plays his role perfectly. I won’t even talk about the bad because there’s too much of it.
After watching season 1 (which was actually good in my opinion), I was looking forward to season 2, I was waiting for the premiere and checking how much time was left until the premiere. But after watching season 2, I don’t feel any excitement about this season at all. I don’t care if it comes out immediately or in six months. The trailer isn’t bad, but I’m not particularly excited. It’s a shame that after the first season, which many criticized, they did even worse in the second.
Goodbye, Henry.
These acrobatics and Cirilla’s stunts are pretty bad (not to mention that the Cirilla from the books is someone completely different), the last scene where Cirilla stands on the monster’s head with a sword is a typical Netflix adventure in the style of “we recreate a scene from the game, fans will flock to it.”
Yennefer looks like she came straight out of H&M to fight elves xD What is she wearing… Where are the “cool butt” outfits as befitting of her?
They won’t fool me anymore, oh no Netflix.
It’s a shame they didn’t make an animation like in Castlevania or Edgerunners, that would have been better than the series.
Oh god, let this season be the nail in the coffin for the entire show….
If I have to choose between the second and third season, I’d rather not watch at all.
