Utilizing the Paragon Board in Diablo 4’s Endgame: A Guide

Even when players think they’ve finished everything Diablo IV has to offer, Paragon Boards feature endgame content that gives even more chances to build already strong characters into their final and best forms. Upon reaching level 50 with a character, players are presented with a massive map of new passive buffs to add as they level up to higher levels. This extra layer of customization goes beyond a basic Skill Tree and into far more detail for players to explore.

Each class in Diablo 4 has nine different Paragon Boards to explore, with the first being a basic map to get players comfortable with their options. Reaching the end of this starting Board opens up the other eight, which can range into highly specific build options for characters. Unlike Skill Trees, whose points can be refunded at once, the abilities on Paragon Boards do not have an instant reset, so players should be careful with their investments in this system as they progress.

Boards become even more complex with Paragon Glyphs, or special item drops obtained from dungeons or Strongholds found throughout Sanctuary. Glyphs are located in one of two rarities, either Magic or Rare. These Glyphs may be upgraded by spending experience points earned from Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4 and effect more Nodes on a Paragon Board at higher levels depending on their Rarity.

The Character Level bar changes after players surpass level 50, becoming a blue progress bar split into four sections to detail when players get Paragon Points. As players naturally earn XP up to 25% of the next level, they receive a Paragon Point to spend on any Board Node. Those who reach level 100 with their character should have about 200 Paragon Points in total to spend as they like, though it will take some serious grinding in Diablo 4 to reach that point.

The endgame content through Paragon Boards in Diablo IV gives players almost an entirely new experience, encouraging even better refinement of builds for characters to use even after the credits of the main story have ended.
