Six months ago, a collaboration of renowned indie game developers came together to launch The Triple-i Initiative presentation. Today, the inaugural broadcast unveiled over 30 exciting announcements.
Here are some of the highlights:
The Rogue Prince of Persia
Confirming previous leaks, a roguelite version of “Prince of Persia” is in the works. Expect fast-paced combat, seamless transitions between battles and acrobatics, diverse weapons, and medallions.
- Developed by the creators of Dead Cells from Evil Empire.
- Published by Ubisoft.
- First Ubisoft game to launch directly on Steam in a while.
- Early access begins on May 14.
Slay the Spire 2
The sequel to the popular card roguelike by Mega Crit is on the horizon.
- New characters with unique card sets, mechanics, and traits.
- Fresh enemies, events, treasures, and bosses at the end of each act.
- Completely revamped on a new engine with enhanced visuals and expanded mod support.
- Stay tuned for new gameplay modes to be revealed later.
- Expected to launch on Steam early access by 2025.
Mouse
A visually captivating shooter styled after classic Mickey Mouse cartoons. The trailer showcases gameplay elements like a hook-cat, helicopter, and spinach enhancer.
Scheduled for a 2025 release.
Vampire Survivors
On May 9th, Vampire Survivors will receive the Operation Guns expansion – an official collaboration with Konami’s Contra. This update includes:
- 22 new weapons.
- 11 new characters.
- One main level and a bonus level.
- 13 tracks from Contra series and six new covers.
- An adventurous journey across six chapters.
Additionally, Vampire Survivors will debut on PlayStation this summer.
V Rising
Prepare for a crossover between V Rising and Castlevania, where you’ll play as a vampire facing off against Simon Belmont in an upside-down “Castle.” The crossover unfolds in two parts:
- Engage Belmont in a free encounter to acquire his weapons.
- Unlock a plethora of thematic “cosmetics” in the paid segment.
V Rising - Legacy of Castlevania launches on May 8th.
Darkest Dungeon II
Within the next year, Darkest Dungeon II will introduce a free update featuring a new mode called “Kingdoms”:
- Embark on a time-trial challenge to uncover and eliminate a monstrous threat.
- Travel through lands, gather resources, and safeguard shelters.
- Utilize resources to level up characters and shelters.
- Encounter unique quests and three new monster factions.
Palworld
In 2024, a PvP arena will be integrated into Palworld.
RKGK / Rakugaki
Immerse yourself in a three-dimensional platformer where you embody a graffiti artist in a futuristic dystopian city.
- Perform acrobatics using jumps, rushes, rolls, and slides, some of which involve the character’s paint.
- Discover hidden treasures and secret passages.
- Customize graffiti and paint elements.
Coming soon to Steam this summer.
Laysara: Summit Kingdom
Embark on a city-building adventure set on mountain slopes, featuring ski lifts, avalanches, chasms, and other high-altitude challenges.
- Explore diverse mountains with unique characteristics.
- Establish symbiotic cities on different mountains.
- Manage transport chains crucial to gameplay.
- Construct a temple atop the mountain peaks amidst harsh weather conditions.
- Engage in an economic-focused gameplay without battles.
