Developers of The Hong Kong Massacre have unveiled exciting new gameplay footage of an unnamed shooter inspired by the iconic Max Payne.
While remakes of Max Payne are undoubtedly in the works, this hasn’t stopped other developers from creating their own unique shooters in the bullet-time genre. The upcoming project appears to be a thrilling blend of Max Payne and My Friend Pedro, with intense shootouts reminiscent of classic action movies like “Hard Boiled” from renowned director John Woo, as well as John Wick.
This first-person shooter is being developed by two talented individuals at VRESKI studio, based in Malmö, Sweden, and the video footage showcases impressive visuals and gameplay mechanics. Despite being a small team, the developers have teased that the game will be built on the Unreal Engine and will feature destructible environments, dual-wielding, and exhilarating slow-motion shootouts and acrobatic maneuvers.
Although details about the game are still scarce, the gameplay footage promises an adrenaline-fueled experience that combines arcade elements with intense shootouts. The prospect of a single-player adventure set across diverse locations adds to the excitement surrounding this upcoming release.
Despite being in development for over three years, the shooter from Vreski has yet to receive a release date or confirmation of target platforms, leaving fans eagerly anticipating further updates.
