Kirara is the first Dendro character hailing from Inazuma in Genshin Impact, with a character build focused on her Elemental Skill. She is a happy-go-lucky Youkai, or Nekomata, who delivers packages throughout Inazuma. Her kit scales off her Max HP and involves a shielded Dendro rampage across the battlefield in her Urgent Neko Parcel form.
When Kirara holds her Elemental Skill, rather than just dealing AoE Dendro DMG and forming a shield, Kirara turns into a delivery box stylized like a cat, maintaining her shield and bounding about with increased speed. When Kirara knocks into enemies, she continues to deal AoE Dendro DMG. Since her Elemental Skill is most fun and useful, her best builds focus on strengthening each aspect.
If players don’t have the Key of Khaj-Nisut from Nilou’s last Genshin Impact banner, they could give Kirara Primordial Jade Cutter to wield in combat. This sword can also increase Kirara’s HP by up to 40% and add up to 2.4% of her Max HP as an ATK bonus. Furthermore, with Crit Rate as its secondary stat, this sword improves Kirara’s DMG overall, strengthening her Urgent Neko Parcel form and allowing her to stand on her own for a while.
Kirara can even use Summit Shaper, a lesser-known Genshin Impact sword. This weapon is not well known to many fans as it has only appeared in three weapon banners as of Version 3.7, and no sword-wielding characters have been able to generate shields until Kirara’s release. However, summit Shaper can increase Kirara’s shield strength by up to 40% and provide an ATK bonus against enemies, increasing dramatically when Kirara is protected by her shield. Kirara is the first character in Genshin Impact who can effectively wield Summit Shaper.
Regarding 4-Star swords, Kirara synergizes well with Sapwood Blade, a Sumeru sword players can craft in one of Genshin Impact’s many forges. Sapwood Blade bestows an EM bonus after triggering a Dendro reaction, providing a great feedback loop for Dendro sword users. Since Kirara herself isn’t a DPS unit, players can equip another character to grab the Leaf of Consciousness that spawns after the reaction to get the bonus and interact with Kirara’s Dendro powers. This is the best F2P sword option for Kirara.
