A new Fortnite season means a significant map refresh, and luckily for players, there’s no shortage of great landing spots in Fortnite Chapter Four Season Three. The Fortnite island’s central region has collapsed, revealing a vast primordial jungle known as The Wilds. This new biome is filled with ancient ruins to explore, hostile raptors, and new weapons and gameplay mechanics players can use to turn the tables on their opponents.
This season’s map refresh has left some areas of the Fortnite island untouched, so many of Fortnite Chapter Four Season Two’s best landing spots are still excellent options for players looking to start their matches right. Some are even better than before. However, players shouldn’t ignore the call of The Wilds; this season’s new map locations have much to offer players of all stripes.
This gives players plenty of room to collect everything they need at Shady Stilts before heading deeper into the jungle. It’s worth noting that this riverside settlement is far from peaceful; the abundance of useful gear and items here means it tends to attract many players. It’s well worth unlocking and using Fortnite’s Augments to even the odds against other players who may have had better luck looting the chests and weapon stashes in this area.
Rumble Ruins is located deep in the Wilds in the central region of the Fortnite island, and it’s arguably the best location for players looking to dominate close-range early-game firefights. Players will find a large ruin and several structures containing a wide variety of weapons and loot chests, all surrounding an open area in the middle that includes one of Fortnite’s Capture Points.
Taking a Capture Point in Fortnite rewards players with a massive loot drop, which often contains high-quality weapons and potent consumable items that can make or break players’ matches. As such, players can expect some hectic firefights and a fierce multi-sided battle to claim the central Control Point. It’s also a great spot to find some of Chapter Four Season Three’s new weapons, including the Kinetic Boomerang, which players can throw in an arc to damage multiple targets simultaneously.
