The Ultimate Necromancer Build for Diablo 4: Optimal Stats, Skills, and Abilities

The Necromancer class in Diablo IV has the power to raise the dead with their skills, stats, and abilities. Their diverse Skill Tree offers gameplay options ranging from corpse manipulation to an army of skeletal companions, making it challenging for players to decide which path to choose.

One of the core traits of the Necromancer is the Book of the Dead, which unlocks at level 5. Through this Book, players can have different types of skeleton allies that fight with them at all times, divided into Skeletal Skirmishers, Skeletal Mages, and eventually Golems. Players can either pick variations to each skeleton type with different upgrades or Sacrifice their potential undead for a unique buff to their character.

Similar to the Shadow Rogue build, Shadow damage makes this build highly damaging while inflicting status conditions like Vulnerable and Slow to enemy hordes. Players using this strategy can have nearly 10 Minions at once, which helps defeat Bosses extremely quickly. Doing this also helps keep the Necromancer alive longer, but players will have to keep track of their Minion’s health so they aren’t left alone in difficult encounters.

As a spellcaster, the main weakness of the Necromancer will be their lower health compared to a class like the Barbarian. While not focusing on Shadow magic to debuff enemies, a Vampiric build instead decides to recover as much Health as possible when using magic. Unlike the Sorcerer builds in Diablo 4, this strategy makes this class survive far longer in prolonged fights without relying on Skeletal Minions.
