Version 1.3 just introduced one of the best damage dealers to Honkai: Star Rail. As a live-service game, the popular turn-based RPG constantly receives new updates that add more content for players to explore. Aside from new story missions, limited-time events, and maps, the game also has an influx of new playable characters added with these patches. The newest update, Version 1.3, saw the addition of Imbibitor Lunae to Honkai: Star Rail. Although the character is relatively new, he has also somewhat been present since the game’s launch. This is because Imbibitor Lunae is actually Dan Heng’s special 5-star form, activated when he unleashes his full power.
While Dan Heng is a 4-star Nameless among the Astral Express’ crew, he is also the reincarnation of the previous High Elder of the Vidyadhara on the Xianzhou Luofu, Dan Feng. Dan Feng committed terrible treason aboard the flagship and was forced into a rebirth process, in which he was reborn as Dan Heng – this Honkai: Star Rail character has no recollection of his past as High Elder and has since been exiled from the Luofu. Nevertheless, he retains the secret powers of the High Elder, being capable of invoking the power of dragons to fight in a new and enhanced 5-star form.
With Imbibitor Lunae’s addition in Version 1.3, Honkai: Star Rail just received one of its best DPS characters, if not the single best one so far. This comes for a series of reasons. Not only is Imbibitor Lunae a 5-star Destruction character, which means they excel in dealing damage and surviving harsh fights, but he also uses Imaginary damage, which is not so abundant in the game’s early stages. Along with Seele and Blade, the character has one of the best damage outputs in the game. This is especially true when using Imbibitor Lunae’s best build in Honkai: Star Rail, which will enhance his powers even further.
Imbibitor Lunae’s gameplay kit allows him to deal single-target damage and AoE Blasts as well. This makes him extremely versatile for various situations on the battlefield, and a great DPS to employ for general exploration when facing random types of enemies. He can also be great at Skill point administration since he relies mostly on his Basic Attack for fighting. Of course, his Basic Attack can be boosted by consuming Skill Points, but this pays off with his damage output to enemies. This is the main mechanic that makes him so valuable and strong as a damage dealer in Honkai: Star Rail.
Through his Basic Skill enhancement via Skill Points, players can choose exactly what type of attack they want to use. Essentially this means that Imbibitor Lunae has four types of attacks in his gameplay kit, two of which are single-target while the two others are Blasts. This counts as more abilities than most other characters in the game. With it, Honkai: Star Rail players can use stronger or weaker single-target attacks depending on the opponents on the field, or control the power of their Blasts to quickly…
