One of the biggest draws of using the Necromancer class in Diablo 4 is being able to summon creatures, including the powerful Golems. For players that are newcomers to the series, Necromancers are the only class in Diablo 4 that can summon Golems. Golems are the strongest creatures that Necromancers can summon and are vital for the class in combat.
There are three different versions of Golem available for players, all unlocked at different levels, The Bone Golem, the Blood Golem, and the Iron Golem. They can be customized and upgraded with different buffs in The Book Of The Dead, but it isn’t apparent at first how to Summon a Golem in Diablo 4.
Once players have hit level 25, a new quest will pop up in the journal called ‘Necromancer: Call of the Underworld.’ The location of the quest can be tracked on the map, but it is in the area to the North of Kyovashad. It involves players collecting unbroken bones, which can be picked up by defeating enemies nearby. The second part of the quest sees players fill the Jar of Souls by defeating enemies at a second location, again highlighted on the map. This will complete the quest and unlock the Golems section of The Book Of The Dead.
Once players have completed the above requirements, they can summon a Golem in Diablo 4. Players must bring up the abilities menu and go to the Skill Assignments at the bottom. This will bring up a separate tab in the middle of the screen with the Golem icon next to the raise Skeleton ability. Players need to drag the Golem icon onto their abilities bar, taking up one slot to use. Once players have done this, the Golem will spawn alongside them to use in combat and keep respawning until it is removed from the abilities bar.
If players are using the Necromancer class in Diablo 4, utilizing Golems is key to progressing through, and they should be summoned as soon as possible in a playthrough.
