Starfield’s Global Retail Sales Plunge to a Critical Level, Analysts Report

Developers from Bethesda Softworks studio are reporting record numbers of players ‍in Starfield, but the sales of⁣ the ⁢space action game are telling a different story. While the ⁢project initially had strong demand from ⁣players for ⁢various editions and versions, interest in the massive RPG has significantly declined. Analysts are⁤ reporting a ‌significant drop in game sales, reaching critical levels.

According to GamesIndustry editor Christopher Dring, the most noticeable decline in Starfield sales has been in⁣ the UK. Major online platforms and⁤ regular retail stores have seen‌ an ‌87% decrease in sales of all physical editions. Although the situation in‌ other markets is not as dire, interest in the game is also declining significantly ⁢in Europe and the USA. Sales in these regions are estimated to have‍ dropped by 60%, which is considered a very bad⁢ sign for such a ‍major release ⁢from ‌Bethesda.

On the other hand, digital sales ⁣for‌ Starfield are faring better. Analysts note⁣ a decline in demand,⁢ but it does not exceed 30-40%. ‌However, it ⁢is difficult to accurately calculate the actual number of digital copies sold. Industry experts believe that the project will only maintain its popularity ‍within the Game Pass‌ subscription, ⁣and the game’s sales are unlikely to reach the ‌levels of The Elder Scrolls or Fallout series.
