During a recent interview, Todd Howard discussed the role-playing game Starfield and addressed assumptions about its overall duration. One of the concerns raised by Howard was the procedural nature of the content. After the Starfield Direct presentation, many gamers were worried that a significant portion of the game’s content would be generated using AI due to the project’s scale. However, Howard reassured fans that this is not the case.
Starfield will have more original content than Skyrim and Fallout 4 combined. While planets and landscapes are procedurally generated, the amount of original content created directly by the developers surpasses any other game we have made. If we focus on just the dialogue area, there is significantly more content than in our previous games.
According to Howard, Starfield will offer players a deep and immersive experience similar to Red Dead Redemption 2, creating a real “space western” atmosphere.
