Samsung’s latest blog post showcases how law enforcement agencies are embracing the Galaxy Z Flip series for their operations. Two years ago, the Kimberling City Police and the Indian Point Police in Missouri participated in a pilot program to test the effectiveness of these foldable devices in enhancing their daily tasks. Samsung reports that this initiative marked the debut of foldable devices being utilized as bodycams by the police. Following the successful pilot program, two additional police departments adopted the Flip devices for their bodycam usage. The positive outcomes from these trials have led to the expansion of this technology to 25 metro police departments across five states.
For the police testing, the Flip devices underwent customization in partnership with Visual Labs, a company specializing in repurposing mobile devices for body and dash cameras.
