Roiland’s Missing Gun Voice in DLC for Game Pass Hit High On Life

Roiland’s Missing Gun Voice in DLC for Game Pass Hit High On Life

During Xbox’s extended showcase event on Tuesday, the first trailer for High on Knife, a new DLC for the comedy shooter High on Life, was revealed. However, Kenny, a gun voiced by former Squanch Games CEO and Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland, was noticeably absent. Roiland had resigned from the company in January 2023 following public allegations of domestic abuse, although the lawsuit against him was dropped in March 2023.

Squanch Games announced in a press release that High On Knife will introduce a new talking gun character named Harper, voiced by Sarah Sherman of SNL. The trailer also showcased another new gun character named B.A.L.L, voiced by Alec Robbins. Interestingly, Squanch Games did not mention Kenny or Roiland in the press release for this DLC.

The release date for the new DLC has not been announced yet, but Squanch Games mentioned that it will have a slightly spookier tone compared to the main game, while still maintaining its comedic elements.
