German logistics giant DHL, like many other global organizations, previously had individual career sites for nearly 200 countries where it operated. Unfortunately, these sites lacked consistency in branding and were not effectively utilized to attract new talent. They mainly served as a platform for job applications.
With the rise of skills-based hiring and the need for integration across various applicant tracking systems, DHL recognized the need for a change. This led them to adopt generative artificial intelligence (genAI) to streamline their talent recruitment process. By consolidating all their country-specific sites into one, DHL could now match job seekers with the required skill sets efficiently.
Partnering with Phenom, an HR tech startup specializing in genAI and automation tools, DHL established a unified career site that allowed each national location to maintain its unique identity while benefiting from real-time customization features. For instance, in Prague, a specialized site was created to attract frontline workers during the busy holiday season.
Since the implementation of the new site, DHL has seen a significant increase in job seekers per job, with AI-enabled features enabling quick and relevant job searches. Within minutes of the site’s launch, thousands of job seekers had already applied for positions, showcasing the success of this innovative approach to talent recruitment.
