Release Date, Story Updates, and Introduction of New Characters in Honkai: Star Rail 1.1

Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 has been officially revealed and, with it, its respective release date, the new characters that will be added to the game with the version, and more information regarding the campaign and limited-time events. Much like in Genshin Impact, another of HoYoverse’s games, Honkai: Star Rail follows a six-week schedule for every major update. Each of these patches brings a fresh batch of content, allowing players to continue engaging with the game even after they have caught up with the story. Version 1.1 is the first big update that the title will receive after its launch back in April.

With Honkai: Star Rail still in its early stages, the next update will not yet feature any banner reruns. Instead, players will be introduced to three new playable characters in Honkai: Star Rail 1.1. Two of them will be new 5-star heroes and one of them will be a 4-star character – all of which have already been introduced in the game’s campaign, either in battles or in dialogue cutscenes. Aside from the new heroes, players will also have many limited-time activities to partake in when Version 1.1 arrives. This update will be a great moment for players to farm resources, including Stellar Jade in Honkai: Star Rail.

The main attraction during the period will be the release of three new playable characters in Honkai: Star Rail 1.1. As was accurately predicted by Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 leaks, the new heroes are Silver Wolf, Luocha, and Yukong. While all the characters had already been introduced – some were even playable – this is the first time players will be able to integrate them into their live roster. Silver Wolf is the second hero that players control, as she is playable during the tutorial phase of the game, right before they unlock Trailblazer as the main character.

Silver Wolf is a Quantum character that follows the Path of the Nihility. This means that she is a specialist in dealing damage while debuffing opponents so that the rest of the team can take advantage of their newly found weaknesses. As a Quantum character, she expands the list of minimal options from which players can choose – so far, the only Quantum heroes are Qingque and Seele. Silver Wolf’s addition in one of the Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 character banners comes as a boon to players who are looking for a source of Quantum damage and cannot or do not want to use any of the other options.

Luocha, another 5-star character in Honkai: Star Rail 1.1, was already introduced during the launch version’s campaign. While players could have him in their party for a few limited quests, he was not controllable and acted automatically. The new hero is yet another example of HoYoverse’s efforts to expand the playable roster by attending to the neediest Elements and Paths. He is a Imaginary character that follows the Path of the Abundance. This means that is a healer with one of the most scarce Elements in the game. At launch, Welt is the only Imaginary character that players…
