Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is an upcoming cozy farming sim game by Natsume for the Harvest Moon franchise and is scheduled to be released this fall with preorders already available, including some with special preorder bonuses. This title will be the sixth Harvest Moon game developed by Natsume that is not connected with Story of Seasons or any Harvest Moon games prior to 2014. Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos explores different biomes and regions around the land of Anthos as players can explore and enjoy a fresh take on the farming sim genre.
Games such as Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, and Stardew Valley all provide a chance for players to enjoy a serene farming sim lifestyle where they can raise animals and find love. Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos goes a little deeper into the typical story with an eruption of a volcano that caused the Harvest Goddess to fall into a deep slumber, of which the players’ character is called upon to help save the day. The game will feature mini-games and events, a creative and unique selection of some exotic animals, and a lot of fun farming and relationship building.
Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos will be released on September 26, 2023, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, and Steam. Developer Natsume just released the first trailer for the game along with more information for the pre-order details and limited edition versions. The trailer shows off some of the variety of biomes that players will come across in the game as well as many of the new gameplay features.
There are currently three ways to preorder Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, including a special limited edition of the game that is being sold only by NIS America for $84.99 USD. Both Amazon and Natsume copies are listed at $49.99 USD as physical versions with preorder bonus items.
As the launch date for Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos comes closer, it is expected that digital versions of the game will be available from PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and Steam, but currently they are not showing in the online stores. A full set of four Harvest Sprite Collector’s Cards can be purchased separately as well.
