The creators of The Arkham Asylum Files: Panic In Gotham City at Infinite Rabbit Holes discuss the AR element of the game and how it can bring friends and family together for game night. Panic In Gotham City drops players into the world of Gotham, where they will work with Harley Quinn to solve a city-wide crime spree that is bigger than anyone could have expected. The game includes escape room-style puzzles, an immersive narrative, exciting Batman lore, and innovative AR technology.

Panic In Gotham City is an experience like no other, allowing players to truly become a part of the story by stepping into the world of Batman and living as a detective in Gotham. The creators strive to make the technology feel one with the game by incorporating it into how players solve puzzles. The game design and technology are all created in service to the narrative and experience instead of using the game to show off the technology. By bringing together physical and digital gameplay, it is a fully immersive experience based around a world that so many people already love.
While this can be played alone, part of the goal is to bring people together. Infinite Rabbit Holes VP of Interactive Design, Michael Borys, is most excited to see how The Arkham Asylum Files: Panic In Gotham City brings people together. Borys explained that, “You’ve got games that tell stories, and you’ve got games that [are just a] solo thing. It’s about the family coming together. It’s about friends coming together. I think more than anything. That’s what really makes it stand up. Hopefully, when people are done, they’re high-fiving, and friendships are made. Bonds are made, and they can’t wait to jump into the next thing.”
