“Quickly Escaping Dungeons in Diablo 4: A Guide”

Dungeons are extensive locations within the Fractured Peaks filled with enemies, loot, and other rewards in Diablo IV, but players may want to find a way to exit these areas fast once cleared. The boss of every dungeon usually resides deep within the area, in a subsection far past the place where players entered. Unfortunately, the room in which players defeat the main boss of these locations doesn’t have a quick ladder or doorway leading back into the wider world, so players have to find a way out themselves.

The most straightforward way to get out of a dungeon quickly would be to simply travel back to the entrance, which should be indicated on their map through an icon that resembles a gate. Completing a dungeon grants players a good amount of Renown and other rewards in Diablo 4, but none of these treasures can be utilized until players leave. While it may be a bit of a walk back to the opening sections of the dungeon on foot, players might be able to snag some leftover gold from larger enemy herds they missed before or other pieces of loot they didn’t see along the way.

Two ways players can get out of a dungeon quickly are to select the entrance from their map and choose the “Leave” prompt or pick the “Leave Dungeon” option from the Action Wheel Menu. Using the “tab” input on PC opens up a map of whatever region the player is in, a quick shortcut akin to the inventory or character skill point menu in Diablo IV.

Moving the dungeon map around and picking the gate icon mentioned beforehand gives players a choice to leave the dungeon after a short time, indicated by a progress bar that builds up above a character when selected.

While players are certainly capable of clicking the entrance icon, the Action Wheel is a much faster choice since it gives an option right away. Even if players have fully traversed a dungeon, they can press the “E” input to bring up the Action Wheel, which has numerous actions available such as emotes, a camera zoom-in, invitations to other players, or even a way to disable chat in Diablo 4. To the immediate right, the “Leave Dungeon” choice can be seen next to a picture of broken stairs, initiating the same progress bar when selected to let players leave the dungeon fast in Diablo IV.
