In the process of playing the full version of Baldur’s Gate 3, some companion characters are becoming more and more liked by fans. Among them are the problematic characters Astarion and Shadowheart, with whom, according to players’ beliefs, one can “make a deal”. Of course, there is also a bear that everyone wants to sleep with. And there is also Karlach, whose appearance, according to early access players, received a damn big improvement in the full version.
As many players on Reddit have noted, Karlach used to look completely different. As can be seen above, her appearance in early access was not very attractive. After all, it was early access.
During the early access period, she changed her appearance multiple times, starting with the very first character model shown above and ending with the current (literally) beauty. Moreover, some fans are so satisfied with her appearance that they are even planning to send off the old model in a rather dramatic way.
At the same time, as some fans point out, there is another version of Karlach that they like the most and that is not present in the early access or current version. During early access, fans found Karlach’s appearance with a scar on her face in the database, which they liked so much that some created a mod for the current version of the game. Despite the scars not making it into the final version, according to many, they fit the battle-hardened Karlach perfectly, complementing her light and unserious character. The main thing is that everyone agrees on one thing: they all love Karlach and are willing to defend her even at the cost of their own lives.
