The Gamescom exhibition at the Opening Night Live show has unveiled another stunning trailer for the upcoming expansion of Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty.
The developers have announced that a significant portion of the content showcased in this trailer will be available for free to all owners of the original game through update 2.0, eliminating the need to purchase DLC.
In Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC, players will assume the role of V and embark on a new mission to rescue a resident of the new United States. This individual’s orbital shuttle was shot down over the dangerous district of Night City known as Dogtown. This adventure will lead players into a world of espionage and political intrigue, connecting the highest levels of power with the ruthless realm of mercenaries in the black market.
The expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 offers an “exciting spy thriller adventure set in a completely new location.” Along the journey, players will encounter new characters, including the “sleeper” FIA agent Solomon Reed, portrayed by Idris Elba.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be released on September 26th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
