Overcoming Data Security and ROI Concerns to Accelerate Microsoft 365 Copilot Rollouts

Microsoft ⁤365 Copilot, now ⁢known as ‍Copilot for Microsoft 365, has garnered ‌significant attention in the⁣ business world with its promise of boosting office productivity. Since its launch last ⁤November, organizations have shown ⁤great interest in this generative AI assistant.

Despite the initial excitement, many companies have⁢ only conducted small trials of Microsoft 365 ⁢Copilot due to concerns about ⁤data ⁣security and uncertainty about its ‍value. According to Max Goss, a⁤ director analyst⁢ at‍ Gartner, while organizations are⁣ eager‌ to try out the tool, they are hesitant to implement it on a larger scale.

A recent survey by Gartner revealed‍ that 60% of IT leaders from ⁢various-sized companies have⁢ initiated pilot ⁤projects for Microsoft 365 Copilot. However, only ‍a small percentage have completed these ⁣pilots and are planning extensive deployments. The majority ⁢of respondents intend to transition from pilot projects to small-scale deployments later this year or in 2025.

Goss emphasized that while there is enthusiasm for using Microsoft 365 Copilot, organizations struggle with ⁣understanding how best⁤ to utilize it ‌effectively. ‍This challenge has hindered widespread deployment of the tool.
