The speedrunning community has introduced a unique category for speedrunning Baldur’s Gate 3. Instead of completing quests and defeating bosses to finish the game, players are now competing to reach the first sex scene as quickly as possible. The first records have already been set.
The initial achiever of this feat was a player named Mae. Previously known for completing the game in under 10 minutes, the fastest completion time, Mae now holds the record for the fastest acquisition of a sex scene with a companion in Baldur’s Gate 3. They managed to establish a relationship with Lae’zel and engage in intimacy with her in just 7 minutes and 54 seconds. This achievement is considered the official record in the speedrunning community, but it may soon be surpassed by another enthusiast.
The most challenging part of this record for Mae was the battle with the goblins before the Emerald Grove. This section cannot be skipped or rushed, so they had to fully engage in combat, which consumed the most time in the record. Once the battle was over, they swiftly convinced one of the tieflings, Zoru, to worship their githyanki companion, Lae’zel. The gesture was appreciated by Lae’zel, leading to their intimate encounter in the evening at the camp.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available for gameplay on PC and will soon be released on PS5. Players can anticipate more records being set in the future.
