NetherRealm Studios has officially announced that Homelander from The Boys, Peacemaker from the DC universe, and Omni-Man from Invincible will be guest characters in Mortal Kombat 1 as part of the first DLC Kombat Pack. These characters will be joined by Mortal Kombat veterans Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda.
The developers of Mortal Kombat 1 revealed the Kombat Pack lineup at Comic-Con in San Diego, where they confirmed other characters for the fighting game: Tanya, Li Mei, Baraka, Darius, and Chameleon.
Homelander will be based on the portrayal of actor Antony Starr from the TV series The Boys, and Peacemaker will be based on the portrayal of John Cena from the HBO Max series created by James Gunn.
The Kombat Pack for MK1 is included in the premium and collector’s editions of the game, set to be released in September of this year.
Mortal Kombat 1 will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X on September 19th.
