Media’s Initial Reception of Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways Boasts Exceptionally Positive Reviews

A few days ago Capcom released Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways, a remake of the adventure‌ featuring Ada Wong in the lead role, and consequently, the add-on received ‍its first reviews from the international press, ‍which essentially awarded the ‍DLC very positive ratings.

4Players.de – 92
IGN – 90
Metro⁣ GameCentral – 90
GGRecon - 90
The Outerhaven Production – 90 ‍(4.5 / 5)
Destructoid – 85

There aren’t many reviews since, unlike the‌ base game, the press ‍didn’t have‌ access to the DLC⁣ in advance. As we can see, the initial impressions are decidedly ⁤positive. Overall,‌ critics seem to appreciate the presence of new locations in addition to those already present in the main game, but now offered with⁤ different situations. They also praised⁣ the encounters, new or reworked boss ⁣battles,‍ and the new dynamics provided by Ada’s grappling hook, which ‍is useful for ⁤both movement⁢ and certain tactical maneuvers in combat.

As for the‍ duration, it takes approximately 4 hours ⁣to reach the end of ⁤Ada’s adventure without considering‌ completely optional missions from the Merchant, which is ⁢considered more than satisfactory,⁢ considering the DLC’s price of €9.99.
