Diablo 4 is the epitome of a dungeon crawling experience, offering players numerous dungeons all across its open world, including the Champion’s Demise dungeon, which rewards players with the coveted Resource Aspect of the Umbral. Champion’s Demise is one of the larger dungeons in the game, with many groups of monsters, particularly Goatmen. Located deep inside the Dry Steppes region, players may feel they can’t access it until they have reached Act 3, but this is actually not true for this game.
Diablo 4’s unique Aspects are very useful, particularly the Aspect of the Umbral from Champion’s Demise, which can be applied to any class in the game. Despite its main reward being a one-time drop, once players have already unlocked this Aspect, the dungeon is one of the best farming locations in Diablo 4 and is a good one to run multiple times. Even for solo players, Champion’s Demise is not too difficult and provides large groups of mobs to take out quickly.
An easy way to get to the general location of Champion’s Demise even before unlocking Dry Steppes as an area is to open the map and set a pin by right-clicking on the map within the fog of war area to the left of Kyovashad and just a bit south. The game will set a pin and provide a route for players to follow, guiding them through the fog of war along the roads necessary to reach the set marker.
Within Diablo 4’s Champion’s Demise dungeon, players will have to return three stone carvings to their pedestals, defeat two elite monsters, and then the Khazra Abomination. Once the boss has been defeated, players will see a popup on their screen to let them know they have unlocked the Codex of Power Aspect of the Umbral. This Aspect restores some of your primary resources when using crowd control on enemies.
After defeating the Khazra Abomination and gathering loot, players are free to exit this Diablo 4 dungeon and utilize the new Aspect from the Codex of Power by visiting an Occultist in town.
