“Is Russian Dubbing Still Present in Phantom Liberty? Yegor Vasilyev, “The Voice V,” Captures Bizarre Video at the Dubbing Studio”

“Ghost Freedom”, a spy thriller story expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, is set to release on September 26 for PC. Unfortunately, it will not be dubbed in Russian.

This information was officially announced on June 12, but yesterday, the voice actor for V (Egor Vasilyev) shared a video from the dubbing studio on his Telegram channel. In the video, Julia Gorokhova, who provided the voice for the female version of the protagonist in Cyberpunk 2077, can also be seen.

According to the artist, they gathered at the studio to work on the expansion, but it seems like it may never happen.

It is possible that the actors and the team gathered for another project, but it is also possible that this is indeed official, as the Poles did not strongly oppose it. The game will not have Russian dubbing upon release, but there is nothing stopping them from releasing it at a later date.

CD Projekt RED has ended its cooperation with tax residents of Russia and Belarus, making it impossible to work on dubbing the expansion into Russian. Upon release, “Ghost Freedom” will only be available with Russian text localization.
