Increasing Number of Players Anticipate Baldur’s Gate 3’s Early Access Release

Recently, there has been a lot of news coverage about Baldur’s Gate 3, and it’s no surprise considering that the third installment of the popular series is about to be released. The game will be available on PC on August 3, and the PS5 edition will hit stores on September 6. Currently, the game is in early access, and its popularity has significantly increased in the past few days.

Some may argue that those who wanted to try out Baldur’s Gate 3 in early access have already done so, as the game was released on Steam in this version on October 6, 2020. However, recent data shows that this is not the case. In just the past five days, the number of simultaneous players has increased by over 80%. According to information from SteamDB, a record of 7,607 players was set on July 4, and by July 9, there were 13,856 players.

As if that wasn’t enough, Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently ranked 5th in the Steam weekly sales chart. It’s worth noting that players’ perception of the game has also improved. Shortly after its early access release, Baldur’s Gate 3 received 2,618 negative reviews, but as of July 1, 2023, there were only 102. Currently, the game has 88% positive reviews on Steam. Over the past 30 days, this figure has reached 93%, indicating a growing trend.
