Representatives of Larian Studios did not deceive when they stated that the second major update was “not far off.” Today, the developers released a patch for Baldur’s Gate 3, which brings a number of important fixes to the game. Despite the fact that the extensive first patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 was released less than a week ago, Larian Studios is clearly not resting on their laurels and is working on new fixes. The update weighs 593.8 megabytes and is available for download from Steam and GOG.
The first patch was mainly aimed at fixing numerous errors and issues. The second update focused on improving performance and taking into account player feedback, resulting in several changes being made. You can read about what has been fixed here.
But to summarize, Larian Studios ”significantly improved performance,” added the ability for players to ”kick out” characters of other players that were created during cooperative play. Rarity filters for items have been added to the inventory, and several changes and additions have been made to Karlach’s story.
To be honest, it is amazing how quickly Larian Studios was able to release the second patch, especially considering how many changes were made to the game in the first patch. It is clear that the company listens to player feedback, and it is no wonder that the game has been so well received. There are many studios that leave their games without fixes, while Larian Studios continues to outpace many of its competitors in this regard.
