Improved AI Mod Released for Fallout 4: Elevating Gaming Experience

Modder Thumblesteen has released an incredible game mod for Fallout 4 that aims to enhance the AI of all NPCs and enemies. The mod, known as real.AI, eliminates the “blinders” that NPCs have (more details below). Additionally, it replaces strict limitations with flexible constraints and introduces elements of unpredictability.

As the modder explained, Bethesda implemented invisible barriers for NPCs that restricted their senses, essentially confining them. This mod removes that barrier, allowing NPCs to interact with the world around them and truly engage with their environment. Consequently, snipers will now shoot from cover, and flanking NPCs will actually surround the player. Moreover, game characters will exhibit behavior more akin to living creatures.

This mod also grants non-playable characters greater freedom of choice. NPCs and enemies can now circle around large objects, hide, set up ambushes, and attempt to deceive the player. They can also blindfire and accurately hit targets based on the information available to them at any given moment.

Finally, stealth and detection will feel much more natural. Players can now hide amidst the chaos of battle, and enemies will actively search for them.
