HBO has officially confirmed that Catherine O’Hara will be joining the cast of The Last of Us series for its second season, although her role has not been disclosed yet.
Rumors about O’Hara’s involvement started circulating earlier this week and were practically confirmed by the actress herself during an appearance on the Watch What Happens Live program, where she was promoting her recent film “Argyle.”
Catherine O’Hara is best known for her role as Kevin McCallister’s mother in “Home Alone” and for portraying Moira Rose in the series “Schitt’s Creek,” for which she received numerous awards.
HBO has been gradually unveiling the cast for the upcoming season, with Kaitlyn Dever confirmed as Abby, Young Mazzino as Jesse, and Isabela Merced as Dina. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey will also reprise their roles as Joel and Ellie.
While the release date for the new episodes has not been announced, HBO has indicated that they are expected to premiere sometime in 2025.
