In Destiny 2‘s new Ghosts of the Deep dungeon, the final boss fight against Simmumah Ur-Nokru can present a challenge to those unprepared. This dungeon presents several challenges, including Hive Rituals and mechanics, and two main boss fights. The first is against Ecthar, the Shield of Savathun and the last one is against Simmumah, who is a Lucent Necromancer.
Ghosts of the Deep is a dungeon from Destiny 2 Season 21. Unlocking this dungeon requires players to have a Lightfall Dungeon Key, and it can be quite difficult on solo runs. Players are recommended to have a power level of 1790 before starting this dungeon. Conquering this dungeon is worth it, as it can be farmed for unlimited loot.
When players enter the arena, there will immediately be a rally banner. Simmumah will be standing over Oryx’s body, which will have a ghost near his head. Destroying the ghost will begin the boss encounter in Destiny 2 with Simmumah. Doing so will also spawn a Deepsight node. Players need to interact with the Deepsight node to continue the boss encounter. Be wary, as enemies will be spawning throughout the arena, including moths that can deal massive damage to unaware players. Interacting with the Deepsight node will show players three locations around the arena.
These locations are indicated by a black dot hovering above it and a green ritual circle, indicative of the Hive ritual mechanics in the Destiny 2 dungeon. Standing in one of the ritual circles will spawn a Hive Knight named Vorlog. Defeat him while standing in the ritual circle, and it will move the boss to that circle. After defeating him, a Hive face symbol and a circle will appear. Players should position themselves to look through the circle at the Hive face symbol. This will reveal the necessary Hive rune for that ritual circle.
Repeat the above steps at each of the three locations that appeared after interacting with the Deepsight node. Next players will need to find the underwater cave doors. There is one by the head, one by the entrance of the dungeon, and one by the right hand. These will have Lucent Hives on the other side. The important part of this process is to memorize the symbol in each room before defeating the Lucent Hive.
