GeForce RTX 4070 and 4060 graphics cards with concealed power connectors unveiled by Inno3D.

Inno3D has showcased two new graphics cards, namely the GeForce RTX 4070 AX eSports and the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti iChill X2 White, both of which feature an unconventional power connector placement. Unlike traditional graphics cards, the power connector is not located on the side of the card but is instead hidden on the inner side of the PCB, between the radiator and the back panel.

The Inno3D GeForce RTX 4070 AX eSports graphics card has a removable part of the back panel, which can be taken off to access the power connector underneath. The cards only require a single 16-pin 12VHPWR connector or an 8-pin connector, eliminating the need for routing multiple cables through a gap. The power connectors are rotated 180 degrees, and once connected, the back cover can be closed to achieve a neat look without the connector.

The Inno3D GeForce RTX 4060 Ti iChill X2 White has a back panel installed, but to connect the power connector, there’s a gap in the back panel where you can simply insert the connector and route it through the back side, eliminating the need to remove the whole back panel.

Both cards have a unique design that allows the power cable to go to the other side of the case, not the side panel, which is particularly useful for 12VHPWR connectors as it provides sufficient cable length for bending and does not require connectors or 90-degree adapters. Additionally, the cards come with white-colored cables to match the theme, making them perfect for gamers building a white-themed computer. Manufacturers are also exploring connectorless graphics cards and other innovative solutions for their future models.
