The release of Baldur’s Gate 3 is rapidly approaching, so it’s not surprising that the developers from Larian Studios regularly delight us with information about their upcoming role-playing game. Recently, we learned that the third Baldur’s Gate will be truly massive – if we believe the developers’ assurances, players will have to spend from 75 to 100 hours to complete it (just the main story). The latest information shared by Larian Studios on TikTok concerns the necromancer.
Released the day before yesterday, a short video clip shows a close-up of a representative of this subclass, followed by a herd of animated creatures. The six-second shots are accompanied by captions: “When you use necromancer abilities to take your ghostly friends on a small obstacle course.”
Indeed, the corpses following the necromancer skillfully overcome obstacles, but many questions about this character subclass remain unanswered. For example: how will we control our undead horde in battle – will we control one corpse at a time or all at once? Or: will NPCs react in any way to a mage followed by a pack of dark minions?
Players in the comments under the video express curiosity about the necromancer subclass:
Does anyone know what playing as a necromancer in Baldur’s Gate 3 will be like? Will it be as fun as in Divinity 2?
Playing through the world of Baldur’s Gate 3 as a necromancer-caster will be the best experience ever..
As you can see, there is a great interest in the necromancer class, despite the many unknown details about what the school of necromancy will look like overall. We will find out very soon – the PC version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released on August 3rd. PS5 owners will have to wait for the release until September 6th.
