In August, TikTok partnered with Ticketmaster to enable artists to sell tickets to live events directly through the social media app. Initially, this service was only available in the US. However, TikTok has now announced that the partnership with Ticketmaster has expanded to over 20 countries in North America and Europe, as well as Australia and the UK.
This feature is exclusive to artists who are officially certified by TikTok, which includes more than 75,000 entertainers and event providers. The process is straightforward: artists embed a link to a relevant Ticketmaster event in a video, and users can click on a link at the bottom left of the screen to purchase tickets. However, it’s important for potential buyers to be aware of any hidden fees.
