Great news for Comcast cable TV customers as Bally Sports regional channels make a triumphant return.

Diamond‌ Sports, the proud owner⁣ of Bally Sports-branded regional sports networks, has sealed a groundbreaking deal with Comcast. Starting August 1, cable customers can⁢ enjoy live broadcasts of their favorite sports.

These networks showcase local games for Major League Baseball, the⁣ National Basketball Association,⁤ and⁢ the National Hockey League teams across different markets. After going dark on May 1 at ‍the beginning of the MLB regular season,‌ fans of 11 MLB teams, ‌including the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins, were⁤ left⁣ in the dark.

This deal ⁤not only ensures ‍the survival of Diamond Sports, which ‌filed for bankruptcy‍ last March but also opens up‍ new opportunities for securing⁤ contracts with other⁣ pay TV providers.
