With the first set of Disney Lorcana cards in pre-release and already in people’s hands, many eyes are already pointing to the release date for its second set of cards. The TCG from Ravensburger has already proven to be popular, and even ahead of The First Chapter’s full launch, a release date for Disney Lorcana’s Set 2 cards (no official title has been given) has been previously announced. In fact, assuming no delays take place, Disney Lorcana’s next set should arrive later this year, with early access to cards once again starting a few weeks ahead of time.
Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter has introduced game mechanics like glimmers, inks, and lore, but as a collectible TCG, cards are already fetching high prices – especially from D23 and Gen Con. Hobby stores received the first set on August 18, but the full release won’t begin until September 1, 2023. It remains to be seen how valuable some of these cards will be once the TCG is more readily available. Even so, Disney Lorcana has already started to gain quite the following - and expectations are high for when Lorcana’s Set 2 cards will be released.

Disney Lorcana’s Set 2 cards will officially be released on December 1, 2023, according to that same report. This would make sense because that means the new cards arrive exactly three months after The First Chapter. This is also comparable to the release schedules of TCGs like Magic: The Gathering or Pokémon, which see standard set releases every few months – and at least four times a year.
At this point, no cards have been confirmed for Disney Lorcana Set 2. However, it’s likely that the new cards will feature Disney characters The First Chapter left out, with possibilities like Tarzan, Dumbo, and Bambi. Other iconic characters like Pinocchio and Disney princesses like Tiana and Snow White would all make solid choices as well.
